Quixel is making the full Megascans library free again

Quixel has announced that its entire Megascans library is returning to free access on Fab. The rollout runs through November 12, 2026, so if an asset still shows a price, check back as listings update.

The announcement also brings new AI training permissions. Quixel says it has updated the terms for all Quixel assets to allow training AI models on Megascans and Megaplants.

If you bought Megascans assets or a Quixel Bundle on or after January 1, 2025, Quixel will refund those purchases to your Epic Account Balance. You will keep your license and receive the new AI rights.

To receive the refund, sign into your Epic account and accept the latest account balance terms if you haven't already. Quixel expects credits to appear by the end of 2026. The balance can be spent across Epic products, including Fab.

Companies with a Quixel studio license remain subject to their existing contracts and should contact their representative with questions.

For developers who missed the earlier free Megascans offer, this is another opportunity to pick up assets for their projects. Just allow time for the price changes to reach the full library.
