About UI Toolkit: ECS Bridge
- Art & Visuals > UI & GUI
ECS Bridge is the binding layer for DOTS, allowing you to mark a component and bind a VisualElement to a field that stays in sync. It is change-detected so unchanged values cost nothing, and source-generated so the hot path stays Burst-friendly with zero reflection. One line per binding allows reading any field through a strongly-typed lambda and writing it to label text, style values, USS classes, or visibility. It supports singletons and global state via BindSingleton and ReactiveState. Queries and aggregations allow driving labels from whole EntityQueries with BindCount, BindAny, and BindAggregate. It supports events, thresholds, and async operations like WhenComponentChangedAsync. Two-way binding and commands allow UI to write back to ECS via EntityCommandBuffer. You can author HUDs in UXML with @ecs: markers. Every binding supports Polling, Change Detection, and Manual strategies. The package includes nine demo scenes covering HealthBar, ScoreCounter, PlayerHUD, AggregationShowcase, ReactiveState, ComputedField, StressTest, UpdateStrategyComparison, and UxmlBinding. It builds clean under IL2CPP and includes full C# source with XML documentation.
