About Tween Helper
- Tools, Systems & Learning > Development Tools & Automation
DOTween Free is required and installed separately. Tween Helper requires DOTween runtime 1.3.030 or newer and Unity UI/TextMesh Pro. Import TMP Essential Resources before opening the Animation Gallery. DOTween is developed by Demigiant and is not included with Tween Helper.
Choose an animation on your GameObject
Add Tween Player, select a category and animation, then preview it or enable Play On Start. Animate the same GameObject or assign another target, adjust duration, and use the settings available for each preset. A single preset does not require a recipe asset.
Compose reusable motion
Use the fluent C# API to combine sequential and simultaneous animation steps for transforms, UI, sprites, TextMesh Pro, collections, progress values, gameplay feedback, cameras, audio, lights, particles and material properties. Control playback, rewind, callbacks, asynchronous completion and cancellation through TweenHandle. Optional Tween Recipes provide reusable sequences with multiple targets and automatically synchronized bindings.
Build everyday game and UI effects
• UI entrances, exits, hover, press and attention feedback.
• List and grid staggering, card dealing and layout transitions.
• Arc, Bezier, Hop, Spring, waypoint paths and world-to-UI pickup motion.
• Damage, reward, healing, cooldown and progression feedback.
• Toasts, modals, tooltips, dropdowns, tabs, drawers and page transitions.
• TMP character, word and line animation, animated numbers and text restoration.
• Progress bars, camera feedback and animated audio, light, particle and material properties.
Explore and extend
Start with 300 built-in presets. The Preset Browser provides isolated previews, filters, favorites, recent entries and C# examples. The Animation Gallery includes 423 built-in entries plus the included custom example and supports legacy input or the Input System. Component examples, seven recipe samples, a progress/reward prefab and documentation show how to adapt the package to your project. Register your own presets to make them available in the Inspector and Browser.
Guided setup
The Setup window opens once per package version and checks dependencies and text resources. Its buttons open the official installation and setup tools. Gallery and Browser launch buttons become available when setup is complete. Reopen it from Tools > Tween Helper > Setup.
Compatibility and customization
Developed with Unity 6.6 (6000.6.0f1) for Built-in Render Pipeline and URP. Other Unity versions, HDRP and custom render pipelines have not been tested. Player-build compatibility for this release has not been verified.
Your project's DOTween configuration is preserved by default. Reduced-motion options apply to supported strength-aware effects; custom effects may need their own implementation. Custom Editor previews require opt-in to the supported state-restoration behavior. Register or preserve custom presets when using managed code stripping. Tween Helper runs locally and requires no online service at runtime.
