Armored characters, medieval weapons, and heavy metal objects all share one thing: the sounds they make are physical, weighty, and specific to the material. 344 SFX - Metal Armor & Objects is a large and detailed metal handling library covering a wide range of recorded objects, from chainmail and plate armor to chains, lanterns, winches, and swords.
The armor recordings are organized by object type. Chainmail includes continuous movement, individual moves, big impacts, and risers. Gauntlets add shaking and whoosh sounds alongside the standard moves and impacts. Lorica Segmentata armor covers both standard and heavy move variants. Filing cabinet recordings provide a dense metal impact source with a very large number of individual takes, making them useful far beyond their literal origin. Chains are covered with continuous movement, impacts, pass-bys, risers, and whooshes. A lantern, manhole cover with tuning fork impacts, ratchet, and winch each have their own dedicated sound sets. The sword section includes handling movement, impacts, whooshes, a riser, and a stinger. Three stereo metal ambience loops, along with several designed impacts, risers, and pass-by sets, round out the collection.
All sounds are fully metadata tagged and ready for Unity.
