About Magica Cloth 2 Integration for PlayMaker 2
- Tools, Systems & Learning > Development Tools & Automation
Control Magica Cloth 2 cloth, hair, and wind directly from PlayMaker 2 with no code. This bridge asset connects MagicaCloth 2 and PlayMaker 2, providing clean, documented actions under a single MagicaCloth 2 category.
Key capabilities include setting cloth gravity for zero‑gravity or floating looks, damping for heavy or underwater feel, time scale for slow motion or freeze, and adding force for explosions, gusts, or landings. You can reset cloth after a teleport or respawn, turn it on/off to save performance, and drive MagicaCloth wind zones (strength, direction, turbulence). Actions also read cloth gravity, time scale, world center, and wind strength into PlayMaker variables, and send events on changes.
Every action lives under one MagicaCloth 2 category in the action browser. The target defaults to the FSM owner, and cloth actions automatically find all cloths on a character, so a cape and a hair chain both react from a single action. Results are stored in variables and events can be branched.
Built and tested with PlayMaker 2 by Hutong Games and MagicaCloth 2 by Magica Soft. Both are sold separately and are required for this integration.
