KOREA HERITAGE SERVICE [KHS]

The Korea Heritage Digital Service is a service that releases various national heritage data, so that companies, regions, and the public can easily find high-quality national heritage data. It is expected to be of great help to the public as well as companies, local governments, universities and research institutes by releasing national heritage data such as 3D data, drawings, photos, reports and videos that are difficult for the public to access.

You can easily access the data by using conditional search functions such as designated items, regions, eras and production years, and also can easily check information such as 3D scanned videos and web VR contents provided by Korea Heritage Service through services such as '3D Asset' and 'Theme Contents'.

The Gwallamji Pond area appears to be the latest addition to Changdeokgung Palace’s secret garden section. This area used to have five ponds in the shapes of square, half-moon, and small round, but in the 1900s, the ponds were merged into current shapes.

With the pond in the center, there are pavilions like Jondeokjeong, a hexagonal-shaped pavilion with double eaves; fan-shaped Gwallamjeong; Pyeomusa with a long gable roof on the west hill and Seungjaejong on the opposite side of Gwallamjeong. Originally, Pyeomusa Pavilion was a right-angled structure with a subsidiary building. However, the subsidiary building is nowhere to be found. Seungjaejeong Pavilion in the woods has a sharp, four-cornered roof. Jondeokjeong Pavilion is the oldest one here, built in 1644 (the 22nd year of King Injo) while Gwallamjeong and Seungjaejeong Pavilions are presumed to have been constructed between the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
