About Katana Animation Pack | First person and Third Person Synced!
- Theme > Military & Combat
- Art & Visuals > 3D
The two sets were made together. A clip that exists in both views has the same name, the same length and the same timing in each, so in a multiplayer game you can play the first person clip for the player holding the sword and the third person one for everyone watching, and the cut, the block and the jump land at the same moment in both.
Six cuts from the right and the left at three heights, and a stab. First person also has a hit version of each cut, where the blade bites and slows down over six frames. Blocking is its own set: idle to block, a block idle, three block hits and a parry.
Third person gets 8-way walk, jog and crouch walk, plus the way into the sprint. First person keeps to 4 directions, because the hands don't change with the direction.
The katana is a rigged mesh with a separate bone for the sheath. Equip draws it, UnEquip puts it back, and its own clips play next to the arms and the body.
The demo scene in Demo has both views, switch between them at the top. Arrow keys or < > step through the clips, W A S D or the stick walks the blend trees.
Made in Unity 6 (6000.0) with URP. The katana uses a URP Lit material, so the Built-in pipeline needs it switched to Standard.
