About Joystick movement + rotation simple input multi touch virtual controls. Fixed and floating options
- Art & Visuals > UI & GUI
This asset provides movement and rotation joystick controls that are easy to set up and use. It can be used in both 2D and 3D games.
How to use it:
- Drag and drop "joystick.prefab" from the "Prefab" folder into your scene.
- Use "JoystickLeft.positionX" static variable inside your scripts to get the left joystick's X axis value, and "JoystickLeft.positionY" for the Y axis value (values range from -1 to 1 for both axes).
- Use "JoystickRight.angle" to get the right joystick's rotation value. Call "Mathf.Rad2Deg * JoystickRight.angle" to get rotation in degrees instead of radians.
- You can choose which joystick (left or right) handles movement and which handles rotation, or use a single joystick for both.
Additional Options:
- If "Sticky" is checked, the joystick is invisible and appears at the touch position. If unchecked, it stays fixed in place.
- "Stick Movement Threshold" determines how far the joystick can move from its central position.
- If "Move joystick base on drag" is checked, the joystick base moves when the finger or pointer drags outside the movement threshold.
- "Freeze X" freezes the X axis.
- "Freeze Y" freezes the Y axis.
