- Art & Visuals > VFX
This FaceTracker plugin allows developers to create WebAR experiences anchored on players' faces. It supports blendshapes, face-meshes, and multiple face-tracking features. The plugin is fast and highly accurate, supporting all major browsers including Chrome, Safari, Edge, and Firefox, as well as built-in browsers in messaging apps like WeChat and Facebook Messenger.
Key features include:
- Face Tracking with 478 Facial Landmarks using Mediapipe for real-time face meshes.
- Blendshapes for animating virtual avatars with 50+ different shapes.
- Face Gestures and Head Tilt Events to detect actions like smiling or frowning and control characters.
- Face Deformation (Experimental) to deform face vertices in real-time for dynamic expressions.
- Sample Shaders (Experimental) for makeup, skin-smoothing, lip-gloss, and teeth-whitening effects.
- Easy Setup with multiple samples and quick scene configuration.
Note: This plugin is not yet interoperable with other WebAR plugins. In-editor testing is not supported; you must build for WebGL or use editor debugging tools. Performance depends on device capability and scene complexity. The asset uses OpenCV and Mediapipe under the Apache 2.0 License.
