About Gamelan Slenthem
This album showcases the deep and resonant tones of the Slenthem, with every note recorded individually to capture its low-frequency warmth and long natural sustain. The recordings highlight the instrument’s supportive and grounding role within the gamelan ensemble.
Well suited for cinematic scoring, ambient music, traditional compositions, and atmospheric sound design, this collection offers rich, full-bodied Slenthem tones.
Recorded using a Sound Devices MixPre-6 II and SO.3 cardioid microphone, the album preserves natural resonance and detailed decay.
