About Dialogue System for Unity Addon for Procedural Dialogue
Requires Dialogue System for Unity 2.2.53.2+.
Works with Unity 6+ and all versions including 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 & newer.
The Procedural Dialogue Addon builds on the power of the Dialogue System for Unity to generate unique experiences, create dynamic content, and enhance replayability and variety in the dialogue that your players experience while giving you the artistic control you need as a writer.
This addon doesn't use generative AI. It uses custom-built systems to transform your dialogue, performing three main functions:
✨ Allows you to include special procedural text instructions in your dialogue text in a simple but powerful format.
✨ Performs automatic text substitution to give actors unique vocabularies that you define.
✨ Transforms text using rules that you define to change the way actors speak, such as making them talk like a pirate, a medieval knight, or whatever you dream up.
✨ Handles gendered languages, modifying words at runtime based on the speaker's gender.
It's easy to use and requires no scripting! Complete C# source included.
