About CryptWorks — Modular Dungeon Builder
- Tools, Systems & Learning > Development Tools & Automation
- Tools, Systems & Learning > Level & World Building
- Theme > Buildings & Infrastructure
- Art & Visuals > 3D
Generate layouts using simple controls for rooms, treasure rooms, floors, branches, corridor length, extra routes, boss rooms, and seeds. CryptWorks uses a predictable 4-meter modular workflow, making it easy to build consistent rooms and corridors without managing a complex node graph.
A complete starter kit is included so you can generate and test dungeons immediately. When you are ready to use your own art, simply replace the starter pieces with your own FBX models or prefabs directly from the Pieces panel.
CryptWorks supports modular Floors, Ceilings, Walls, Corners, Door Walls, Arch Walls, and Stairs. Placement Origin tools are included to help align imported assets directly inside Unity, reducing the need to return to external modeling software just to correct a pivot.
The Modeling Guides workflow can also generate reference OBJ files for the supported modular pieces, giving you clear dimensions and proportions when creating custom assets in Blender, Maya, 3ds Max, or another 3D modeling application.
CryptWorks is designed around a simple workflow:
1. Create the starter setup.
2. Adjust the dungeon settings.
3. Generate a layout.
4. Replace starter visuals with your own modular assets.
5. Validate the kit and continue generating.
The goal is to keep procedural dungeon creation approachable, predictable, and easy to customize.
