About Arctic Ice — Lake, River & Glacier Ice Shaders + Winter Weather
- Theme > Nature & Countryside

- Art & Visuals > Textures & Materials
Stand on a frozen mountain lake and look down: black ice tens of centimetres thick, frozen gas bubbles stacked in layers, cracks running deep into the sheet and the low sun glinting across it. Every layer is rendered with parallax, so depth holds up from any angle — no flat decals.
The pack covers every kind of ice: clear and cracked lake ice, white plate ice, rivers with open leads and slush, glaciers, icebergs, cave ice and icicles, plus frost that grows over rock, metal and paint. More than 70 materials are ready to drop in; every one is a material instance you can tune.
The ice is alive. Cracks spread across the surface, skaters leave marks, frost creeps in and the whole lake can thaw and refreeze at runtime.
A complete winter weather system ties it together: 24 presets from a calm diamond-dust morning to a whiteout blizzard, freezing rain and thundersnow. Snow builds up on the ground, trees grow hoarfrost and the camera lens frosts over or collects raindrops. The day/night cycle brings sunsets, moonlit snow and the northern lights. Players can change everything live in the in-game menu and save their own presets
